The location and scenery are beautiful. Having the cabins close to the main attraction (waterfalls) is nice. The old cabins are rustic and fun for the kids.
The double bed was very hard and uncomfortable.
The location near the falls and a great trail to the Ink Pots. The way the cabin was decorated and appointed was excellent. We all loved the separate tub (wonderful tub!) and shower area from the toilet. Excellent stay!!
The beautiful surroundings, the quiet, the cozy rooms, the cleanliness, the excellent staff.
We enjoyed how quiet it was, how it felt like home and we also enjoyed the hike into Johnston falls.
Johnston Canyon itself, which I've seen many times but always like to see againj and the hotel with its old-fashioned facilities which recall my childhood in the 50s (or even earlier for some items).
My friend said the water in the shower was hard to adjust to a comfortable temperature: it was too hot or too cold. (We were in cabin #6.). I couldn't resist getting into that magnificent old bathtub, which reminded me of my grandmother's, so I didn't experience the shower.)
The cabins were so cute and I loved that they were away from the busy town of Banff.
The ovens need to work. I planned my menus based on the pictures of the cabins and I NEEDED the oven.
Friendly and helpful stuff Location
The bed we had this time was very small and the mattress was old and saggy. The water preassure in the shower was poor - a little better than a few dropps....
The setting is beautiful; the small cabins unique and cozy. An excellent place to connect with nature and recharge your battery.
Quiet, comfortable, beautiful setting
There was no hair dryer, no television, no kitchen in the cabin, no internet service, no breakfast included. These are all fine, as it is a camping type setting, but would have been helpful to know ahead of time.
Scenery and location
Parking and road leading up to the cabins
The food both in the diner and in the restaurant was excellent -- surprisingly so. The scenery is beautiful.
Staff frequently came across as disinterested and unfriendly.
location, scerery and setting
coffee maker was full of old coffee, mosquitos were in our cabin upon arrival
The cabin was rustic and quaint. The falls and inkpots were amazing. The staff at the restaurant were very effiecient. If you are looking for a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life this it the place to be.
The bed was a little smaller than we are used to.
The decor and hiking
Cabin was less than clean. Beer caps and peanuts under couch. I was sleeping on an air mattress so was eye level with the debris under there. The rest of the floor indicated only the center of the room had been vacuumed. Always makes you wonder what other corners were cut.
The Location is great, the coffee shop was tasty and fast.. the Main thing is the waterfall which is a short walk up the creek.. well worth the trip.
